Made to support the way students really study.Designed with thought. No AI Slop.

Built around real student needs

We built Vector around what students in Singapore actually need day to day. Studying can feel overwhelming, expensive and involves juggling many different resources just to stay on track. We wanted to create something more practical, accessible, and genuinely helpful.

At its core, Vector is about the essentials students return to most often: reliable notes, useful practice, and simple tools that help them study properly without making the process feel more complicated than it already is.

Why We Started

Our Motivation

Many students are trying their best, yet studying feels scattered, overwhelming, and harder than it should be.

What We're Trying to Solve

Firstly, Singapore's education can feel intense, expensive and hard to keep up with. Good academic support should not be hard to access.

Secondly, AI is here to stay, but impressive AI ≠ helpful. When overengineered, it can take students away from real thinking and understanding. We believe AI should support learning in a simple, purposeful and limited way.

Our Objective

Vector gives students a more supportive and accessible way to study by bringing together clear notes, meaningful practice, helpful tools and a better sense of progress in one place.

What Vector is - and what it isn't

Vector is built to support learning in a healthy and sustainable way.

It is a reliable daily study product focused on the essentials students actually use. We are not trying to overload students with hype, overengineered features, or shortcuts that make learning feel easier in the moment but weaker in the long run.

For some students, Vector may be enough on its own if they are diligent and consistent. For others, it may work better alongside school or tuition. We do not believe every student learns the same way, and we are not here to pretend one app can solve everything.

What we do believe is that good support should be easier to access, easier to return to and easier to use well.

Our approach to AI

AI this. AI that.

AI is part of Vector, but it is not the centre of it. AI is here to stay, but there is a difference between using AI as support and relying on it too much.

The issue is not that AI exists. It is how easily learning can shift from real understanding to simply getting answers faster. The less effort a student needs to put in, the easier it becomes to depend on the system instead of thinking for themselves.

That is why we use AI in a more careful and limited way. It should support learning, not do the learning for the student.

We are not chasing the flashiest AI product. We are building something students genuinely use. For us, that means keeping the focus on strong notes, good practice, and useful tools first. MOE syllabus-aligned content is only the starting point.

Used well, AI can benefit students in meaningful ways. It makes support more accessible, reduce unnecessary friction, and offer help at a lower cost. That matters, especially when many students are paying high prices for academic support that can be inconsistent, over-marketed or built from recycled materials dressed up as something new.

We are not trying to replace good teachers or build around hype or integrate more features that look impressive in a demo but quietly encourage dependence. We are trying to build something that supports learning in a healthy, sustainable, and genuinely helpful way.

A note from us

We spent many months ideating, designing, and building Vector with one simple goal: to create something we would have wanted as students ourselves.

Part of that came from our own experiences with tuition and academic support. We have seen how helpful the right guidance can be, but we have also seen the other side of it - when learning feels too intense, too expensive, or too focused on selling rather than truly helping. Those experiences stayed with us, and they shaped the kind of product we wanted to build.

We believe education should encourage self-dependence, growth, and genuine interest in learning. It should help students think for themselves, build confidence over time, and stay curious - not just chase answers or results.

We know this product is not perfect, and we are still learning too. But we built it with care, and we hope it becomes something genuinely useful to the students who use it. If you enjoyed it, thank you. If you think we can do better, we would be glad to hear that too. We welcome both praise and criticism, and if there is a feature you would like to see, please let us know through our contact page.
